Physical Inventory is one of the most time-consuming, yet critical tasks a company must do. The accuracy and timeliness of the "final" counts determine how effective your inventory-monitoring system is.

AVE's Physical Inventory Tag System enables you to identify variances before you update MAPICS Physical Inventory. All MAPICS errors and variances are pre-established before MAPICS is aware that a physical inventory is on the way. This means a more accurate count and better turnaround time.
Missing Tag Reports and Variance Reports can be run in any combination of groups and sequences, giving you maximum flexibility and information control. Powerful inquiry capabilities also are incorporated into this enhancement, displaying previous counts and quantity/amount variances.

Inventory Tags may be printed by groups in various sequences. Selected parts of a
warehouse may be counted

Reduce data entry requirements by keying the tag number and count

Missing Tag Reports may be run in seven different sequences - insure no tags are
lost and all inventory is counted

Provides Inventory Count Reports by Quantity or Value in various groups and
sequences with Maximum Positive and Negative Limits; (Variance Report "Values"
may be run using any of the six MAPICS costs)

Adjustments may be made prior to updating MAPICS

Includes Inventory Valuation Reports

On-line Inventory Tag Inquiry by Tag and Item Number

Tags allow for tracking Original Count and up to two Recounts

Miscellaneous Tags may be created for counting multiple locations of a single item or
counting and costing non-MAPICS inventory items

Runs completely outside of MAPICS until users are ready to update

DB Year 2000 and all MAPICS XA versions support both controlled and uncontrolled
warehouses

All non-MAPICS files are externally described providing greater ease of use with
