ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER (ECO) TRACKING, MAINTENANCE AND HISTORY
(AVEM15)

Engineering Change Order (ECO) Tracking saves time and money by tracking the status of current ECO's and saving history on Engineering Change Orders. AVEM15 integrates the ECO data into your MAPICS manufacturing system by making ECO data visible to all personnel with access to the MAPICS manufacturing data base. This automated ECO Tracking System provides critical inquiries and reports with ECO number, revision letter, effective date, and ECO description. The enhancement prevents duplication of effort by both Manufacturing and Engineering and encourages them to use the same Bill of Material, reducing paperwork and clerical expenses.

	Maintain Current and Historical ECO Data by Assembly including: 8-character ECO Number 4-character ECO Revision Letter 1-character ECO Pending/Approved Code 5-character Status Code 5-character ECO Approved By Code 100-character ECO Description Effective Date
	ECO maintenance allows the user to update all items affected by an ECO from a single screen. New ECO's may be created by copying existing ECO's
	Inquiry: By Assembly Number - Complete History By ECO Number/Letter - Complete History of all items affected by ECO By Item Number within ECO
	ECO Status Reports Sequenced by: ECO Number within Assembly/Status Code ECO Number within Item Item Number within ECO Effective Date
	MAPICS Enhancements - Include the ECO Number and Revision Letters on: Work Order Closeout Reports Open Order Status Reports Open Order Status Inquiries
	Two ECO Numbers and Revision Letters are printed/displayed The ECO Number and Revision Letter in effect at the time the Work Order was released (Open) The ECO Number and Revision Letter in effect at the time the Report or Inquiry  was done (Current), or on history work orders at the time the work order was closed
	All non-MAPICS files are externally described providing greater ease of use with  Query
	This Enhancement may be installed in Multiple Environments
